Choices

“Everything is a reflection of a choice you’ve made. If you want different results, make different choices.”

I like to think of myself as a conscious decision maker, weighing out the facts, both intuitively and logically, the pros and cons, and the potential chain reaction(s) to my choices. And then there are the times when I plow through and pick the shiniest object in front of me because it looks good. Most days, I pick the latter. Still a work in progress. Sigh.

The idea that we can make rational AND intuitive decisions simultaneously is one that has escaped me for most of my life. I’ve gone through phases of choosing one or the other and forgetting that both serve a very good purpose when it comes to deciding what the next best step could be. In my earlier years I was all logic. Plowing ahead no matter the consequences because I had set my mind on a particular goal and I was willing to do whatever it took to get there. I didn't take time to tap into my intuition and ended up in some jobs that I hated, and in environments that stunted my growth. 

With time, and experience, came the more “open minded” thinker phase where I took every possible scenario into consideration and didn’t choose anything unless I had consulted a tarot card, pendulum or another intuitive practitioner for advice. This often led to second guessing answers I didn’t want to hear and putting me into less than ideal situations that could have been avoided by applying a little bit of logic. I shifted so far to the spiritual side that I neglected to consider we are still living a very humanistic physical form where we can’t be stuck in the clouds if we expect to get anything done on the earth plane. 

So where does that leave things now…? It's important to consider that everything has a logical and a spiritual answer as we are existing on multiple levels. Even though this human experience may be what's directly in front of us, there are lots of actions going on behind the illusion of our “reality.” Actions that are working for us, not to us. Actions that we can’t immediately see, but we are being invited to trust that when we put our intention out there they will come back in the most Divine of timing.
